During the summer months as much as 100% of the energy needed could be provided by solar. In winter, despite the lower intensity of the suns rays and fewer daylight hours as much as 30% could be solar.

From 10th April 2010 the Government pilot scheme will enable households and communities to install generated technologies and to claim payments for the low- carbon electricity they produce.

A well designed solar water heating system will be able to provide up to a third of your home's annual hot water needs.

Solar water heating systems can usually be integrated into your existing hot water system.
